The National Conciliation and Mediation Board Regional Branch No. conducts a program re-orientation for PANELCO III and the PANELCO III Employees Association on December 4, 2018 at the Conference Room of the company.
Director Jay Jasper B. Javines spearheaded the activity with a lecture on industrial relations and unionism coupled with workshops that helped determine the level and status of labor relations and cooperation between the union and the management.
Sr. Labor and Employment Officer Lester B. Panem extensively discussed the programs of the Board focusing on the bipartite ADR mechanisms of LMC Program and Grievance Machinery. He underscored that each time they choose to opt for cooperation and peaceful resolution of disputes is a step closer to PANELCO III’s vision and mission. Otherwise, it is a step farther from their goals.
The seminar was the first in a long, long while for PANELCO III, which saw a rollercoaster journey with respect to labor-management relations. Engr. Allan Casem, General Manager, expressed his optimism towards improving their relationship with the union,
“What we did today is not the end of things but just the beginning of your journey towards a renewed sense of commitment to cooperation and harmonious industrial relations,” Javines said in his closing words.
