The National Conciliation and Mediation Board celebrates 31 years of public service this 2019, just a few days after the new year came in.
RCMB1, headed by Director Jay Jasper B. Javines, reveled in the moment on January 4, 2019, the very date of the Board’s founding. A simple ceremony was held at the Branch joined by good friends from the DOLE RO1, OWWA, POEA, and NLRC. Also, representatives from the region’s voluntary arbitrators and I-CARE were present.
A rundown of the Board’s history from its humble beginnings to what it is today was presented followed by a brief presentation on industrial peace. Director Javines led the highlight of the activity by unveiling to everyone the Director’s Wall.
“As for RCMB1, these were the ones who were with us, through thick and thin, in achieving the industrial peace we have in the region,” Javines said, referring to the 12 previous RCMB1 chiefs that were before him.
