Following a successful learning session for industries in Dagupan City and its neighboring towns, NCMB Regional Branch No. 1 did the same for La Union.
Inviting business enterprises from the City of San Fernando, Bauang, and San Juan, the seminar, which took place in the Branch’s Conference Room on February 20, 2019, saw 27 participants from 18 companies attend to learn NCMB’s advocacy on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (ADRMs), general labor standards of the DOLE, and RTWPB’s gain-sharing based on productivity.
NCMB OIC Executive Director Maria Teresita Cancio graced the occasion and gave a fitting introduction prior to the lecture on ADRMs. “We encourage you to learn on how to settle your issues within your own walls. We wish you not to make your case inside the courts, as much as possible,” Cancio told the participants.
“Productivity is our ultimate goal,” RCMB1 Director Jay Jasper B. Javines said. “And it all starts with basic learnings to serve as our foundation, especially in the areas of human relations, compliance to the law, and productive work attitude,” he added.
